Fitch Ratings is seeking a Senior Analyst to join the Asset Backed Securities (ABS) group in New York or Chicago. You will develop credit views, monitor performance trends, and analyze consumer ABS like auto loans, credit cards, and unsecured installments.

The role emphasizes strong communication and teamwork within a growing, global research team. You will analyze credit and legal aspects of ABS deals, support rating workflows, and use cashflow models to assess performance.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience (excluding internships).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and derive insights.
• Interest in credit research and ABS is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyze key credit, legal, and structural aspects of ABS transactions.
• Support rating workflows by assisting in analysis and monitoring of a portfolio of ABS transactions.
• Utilize cashflow models to form opinions on future performance.
• Stay up to date on sector trends and communicate findings within the team and to external stakeholders.
• Contribute to research reports and special projects focused on sector trends.
