Job summary

• Demonstrates understanding of underwriting policies, RACs.
• Strong knowledge of credit underwriting, financial accounting and loan documentation.
• Knowledge of deal structuring and ability to convey this to lenders.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Time management and mathematical skills.
• Strong credit and administrative skills.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions.
• High School diploma or GED; minimum 5 years in a commercial lending environment.
• Bachelor's degree or formal credit training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites and structures new transactions and renewals for clients.
• Participates in client meetings and deal discussions; identifies risk and advises on loan structures.
• Performs due diligence and presents credit requests to required authority.
• Maintains portfolio monitoring reports and ensures covenant and reporting compliance.
• Validates reports and escalates issues with action plans.
• Ensures credits are risk-rated and properly monitored.
• Prepares quarterly portfolio and monitoring reports.
• Participates in special projects related to portfolio management.
