Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking an Asset Wealth Management Credit Risk Senior Associate in San Francisco to assess creditworthiness for high net worth clients and structure loan solutions within a controlled risk framework.

You will analyze personal and entity financial statements, apply BaselIII-based risk grading, collaborate with Front Office, and monitor portfolios, escalating complex risks to senior stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Management.
• 3+ years of credit risk, underwriting, portfolio management, or related financial analysis roles.
• Strong working knowledge of financial statement analysis, cash flow assessment, and credit risk fundamentals.
• Demonstrated ability to assess collateral, loan structures, covenants, and default scenarios.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to present complex analysis clearly.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate risk to various stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels, including senior risk and front office partners.
• Proven ability to operate in a high-production, deadline-driven environment while meeting quality standards.
• Strong commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and a client-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate consumer and business-purpose credit requests per policy.
• Analyze financial statements to assess cash flow and leverage.
• Apply risk grading methodology to determine default probability.
• Assess collateral, structures, covenants, and events of default.
• Document key risks and supporting rationale.
• Present clear credit recommendations.
• Assess cross-border risks impacting client relationships.
• Partner with Front Office to gather information and negotiate structures.
• Manage assigned portfolios, monitor performance, escalate issues.
• Escalate complex matters to Credit Executives with solutions.
• Collaborate with Risk Support and Closing for compliant execution.
