Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking a Credit Analyst in its Business Insurance Credit Risk Management team. You will evaluate financial information to protect against credit risk and support retention and growth of business.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in credit risk or financial analysis, a Bachelor's in finance or related field, and preferably a CFA or equivalent certification. You will work with various teams to deliver accurate credit reports and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
• 5+ years in credit risk management or financial analysis.
• CFA or equivalent designation preferred.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; able to balance timeliness and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary Credit Risk Management analyst for assigned industry sectors.
• Perform credit analysis of prospects and customers with documentation of ratings.
• Collaborate with marketing and underwriting teams in renewal and new business processes.
• Maintain relationships with internal/external contacts regarding credit risk and collateral.
• Conduct market research and communicate findings to support decisions.
• Identify process improvements and assist in evaluating analytics methods.
• Participate in client investor presentations and industry associations.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related discipline

Master's Degree

CFA or equivalent designation

5+ years of experience in credit risk management or financial analysis

Strong analytical & quantitative skills

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
