Job summary

Ace Hardware is seeking a Credit Analyst to perform advanced financial statement analysis and risk assessment for a multi-million-dollar portfolio of retail store accounts. The role involves underwriting retailer loans, setting credit limits, and managing collections, supported by a team of Credit and Operations professionals.

The position offers a collaborative environment with cross-functional collaboration across the country and a focus on protecting the cooperative from financial losses.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze financial statements to produce professional analyses.
• Manage a portfolio by setting credit limits and arranging payment plans for past-due retailers.
• Strong self-motivation, organized work ethic, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and decision new Member Applications within designated authority and territory
• Underwrite Loan Applications within designated territory
• Determine appropriate credit limits within designated authority and territory
• Disposition blocked retailer orders timely and in line the retailer’s risk profile
• Establish payment plans to resolve retailer past due balances
