Credit & Collections Analyst Responsibilities
- Gathers and analyzes credit applicants financial and credit data to evaluate risk
- Collaborates and communicates with others to approve or deny extensions of credit and terms
- Prepares and presents credit reports
- Defines, implements and maintains customer credits policies and guidelines
- Completes annual reviews of all existing customers - requesting customer financial statements, credit agency reports, etc. and review for potential changes in credit limits
- Maintains documents and spreadsheets on credit and related financial information
- Oversees existing customer accounts receivables - ensuring and/or pursuing payment on delinquent accounts via communication with account holder
- Calculates lease balances and communicates with customers to close out leases
- Assists customers in the return and sale of leased vehicles
- Vehicle sale coordination to include: invoicing and paperwork completion, collecting payments and providing customer assistance
- Assist with special projects and reporting as needed
- Provides a variety of customer support services through email, telephone and direct personal contact
Credit & Collections Analyst Qualifications
- Strong ability to read, understand, and analyze financial statements and determine ability to make rental/lease payments
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to successfully interpret and handle a variety of abstract and concrete variables
- Structured, Organized, Detail-oriented approach to work
- Ability to accept responsibility and work co-operatively in a team environment
- Able to manage competing priorities and excel under the pressure of multiple deadlines
- Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines and prioritize to complete work on a timely basis
- Advanced level of attention to detail and ability to focus on current task with office distractions
- Must be able to work in a flexible environment where the daily focus changes depending on volume
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management
- Strong math skills with the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, percentages, rates, and ratios
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience with JD Edwards Enterprise One a plus
- Advanced experience with Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office products
