Job summary

Mission Fed is seeking a Senior Credit Reporting Operations Specialist to join our on-site team in San Diego, CA. You will manage the full lifecycle of consumer credit disputes, ensuring accurate and compliant outcomes while partnering with multiple departments to protect member trust.

The role requires strong knowledge of credit reporting standards (FCRA, CRRG), root-cause analysis, and meticulous documentation to support regulatory excellence and member service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial services or related operations.
• At least 1 year of experience supporting investigations, dispute resolution, or case management.
• Working knowledge of consumer credit reporting requirements, FCRA, and CRRG guidance.
• Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to prepare clear, professional, and compliant case records.

Responsibilities

• Investigate disputes and determine accurate, well-supported outcomes.
• Review account histories and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with FCRA and Metro 2 reporting standards.
• Maintain meticulous case records and documentation.
• Collaborate with members, lending teams, collections, compliance, and legal.
• Identify reporting errors and implement corrective actions.
• Manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
