Job summary

CalPrivate Bank is seeking an SVP, Credit Manager in Beverly Hills, CA to lead complex loan origination and credit policy efforts. The role focuses on growing a prudent loan portfolio across CRE, C&I, and SBA segments while upholding rigorous risk controls.

You will manage credit approvals, portfolio monitors, and cross-functional collaboration with lending teams, risk, and operations. Leadership, deep credit expertise, and a client-centered mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in lending, commercial credit, loan structuring, collateralization, loan processing, and leadership.
• Strong background in loan structuring, risk identification, cash flow analysis, collateral analysis, and problem loan resolution.
• Experience with loan management platforms such as nCino, CoStar, IBIS/IBISWorld or similar tools to streamline credit analysis and portfolio monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and approves loan recommendations submitted by loan officers.
• Ensures asset quality through sound underwriting of loans presented for approval.
• Maintains compliance with policy, procedures, and regulations for loan management and monitors criticized/classified portfolios.
• Prepares monthly/quarterly lending activity and portfolio condition reports for leadership and Boards when required.
• Leads and develops team members; supports credit training and cross-functional collaboration.
