Job summary

Freudenberg Filtration Technologies in Durham, NC, is seeking a Senior Credit & Collections Accountant to lead AR, credit, and collections activities across the business units, ensuring cash flow and strong governance.

You will partner with Sales, Operations, and Finance to optimize terms, automate processes, and drive KPI improvements, while mentoring AR and Collections teams in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive experience in Credit, Collections, and Accounts Receivable within a high-volume business environment.
• Proven success leading AR transformation initiatives, including process improvement, automation, and systems optimization.
• Experience in a shared services environment with influence across functions and stakeholders.
• Strong track record of improving cash flow, reducing past-due receivables, and minimizing bad debt exposure.
• Advanced knowledge of credit risk assessment and AR analytics using ERP/AR tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounts receivable, credit, collections, dispute resolution, and customer credit activities across assigned business units.
• Drive improvements in DSO and cash forecasting while supporting liquidity objectives.
• Establish and enforce credit policies, approval authorities, and risk controls; liaise for audits and governance.
• Optimize AR processes, controls, reporting, and workflows to improve efficiency and customer experience.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Customer Service, and Finance to resolve receivable issues and support growth.
• Provide functional leadership to AR and Collections teams with clear KPIs and development plans.
• Lead AR-related system implementations and process improvements while driving adoption of new tools.
