Job summary

Dedham Savings is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to perform in-depth credit and financial statement analysis for complex commercial lending decisions. You will assess borrowers’ financial condition, review loan documentation, and prepare periodic reports under limited direction from Credit Leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, accounting, business, finance, or a related field; equivalent education may be considered.
• Minimum of five years of progressive banking experience in commercial credit analysis, C&I lending, CRE, or construction lending.
• Significant knowledge and experience performing detailed analysis of business financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, statements of cash flow, tax returns, and related financial information.
• Strong PC skills, including proficiency with financial statement spreading and credit analysis tools; familiarity with Moody’s, nCino, Abrigo, or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Independently spreads and analyzes financial statements and supplementary information.
• Reviews trends in customers’ business and assesses covenant compliance.
• Assesses creditworthiness within the proposed structure and ensures adherence to loan policy.
• Proposes recommendations to mitigate risks and discusses findings with the Commercial Credit Manager.
• Reviews legal documentation for key loan terms; identifies and tests covenants.
