Job summary

Texas First Bank seeks a Credit Analyst to support the commercial lending team by gathering, analyzing, and underwriting credit information on clients and portfolios. You will prepare loan presentations for managers and committees and monitor credit quality and risk.

Required: bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance and at least five years in credit and underwriting, with strong analytical and communication skills. Typical hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in credit and underwriting.
• Advanced knowledge of financial statements.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and sit at a desk.
• Typical work hours Mon-Fri 8am-5pm.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing financial information such as balance sheets, income and cash flow statements, and periodic financial reporting.
• Prepare, review, and discuss loan presentations with Relationship Manager and senior leadership.
• Perform loan and portfolio level stress testing of financial results, collateral, and credit variables.
• Accurately spread financial statements.
• Recognize patterns and trends within financial presentations for complete relationship analysis.
• Track compliance with loan covenants on significant relationships.
• Assess overall credit worthiness of client companies.
• Stay informed of regulatory and policy requirements to ensure compliance.
• Participate in special projects such as loan review and audits.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
