Job summary

Staffmark Group in Abilene, TX is hiring a Senior Credit Analyst to assess and underwrite loan requests, evaluate repayment capacity, collateral, and creditworthiness, and present recommendations in line with policy.

You will lead loan reviews, monitor risk, mentor junior analysts, and collaborate with loan officers and leadership to support lending decisions; a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of commercial credit experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of commercial lending, credit administration, and banking regulations.

Responsibilities

Analyze and underwrite loan requests, evaluating repayment capacity, collateral, guarantor support, and overall creditworthiness.
Prepare loan presentations and credit recommendations that align with bank policy and regulatory requirements.
Lead annual loan reviews, portfolio monitoring, risk ratings, stress testing, and industry analysis.
Identify emerging credit risks and recommend strategies to mitigate portfolio exposure.
Supervise and mentor Credit Analysts, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and quality in underwriting practices.
Partner with Loan Officers, executive leadership, and the Chief Credit Officer to support lending decisions and strategic initiatives.
Assist with audits, loan reviews, regulatory examinations, and compliance activities while maintaining current knowledge of industry trends and banking regulations.
