Job description

Our well-known client, one of Tennessee's oldest community banks, is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to strengthen its credit team as it transitions underwriting from individual lenders to a centralized credit function.

This role is ideal for an experienced analyst who wants to do real credit work, sharpen underwriting judgment, and be part of a department being intentionally built — not overloaded.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Underwrite commercial and consumer loan requests
  • Perform financial spreads and credit analysis
  • Prepare written credit narratives and recommendations
  • Support loan screening, approvals, and compliance
  • Assist with portfolio reporting and credit reviews
  • Work closely with the Chief Credit Officer on credit administration initiatives
Ideal Background
  • 4–7+ years of underwriting or credit analysis experience
  • Community banking background strongly preferred
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and explain conclusions
  • Comfortable owning deals from intake through recommendation
  • Strong Excel and technical skills
  • Desire to work in-person and be part of a local banking team
Growth Potential

While this role is execution-focused initially, high performers may grow into expanded responsibility — including future advancement into a Credit Officer role (local presence required for advancement).
