Job summary

Fifth Third Bank seeks a Senior Credit Analyst in the TMT area to partner with Portfolio Managers, underwriting and monitor credit, draft documentation, and support credit reviews. You will develop risk models, perform covenant monitoring, and ensure accurate reporting with limited oversight.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of commercial banking experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with banking systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
• 3+ years of Commercial Banking experience that includes credit analysis.
• Strong financial and risk analysis understanding with ability to develop financial models.
• Extensive knowledge of banking products and services.
• Knowledge of corporate business structure and legal documents.
• General knowledge of U.S. government and regulation.
• Proficiency in internal banking applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities with multi-task prioritization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Portfolio Managers in credit and underwriting, performing analytical tasks as needed.
• Draft documentation and complete indicative credit information into Banking Systems with accuracy.
• Prepare risk-rating scorecards and perform tickler analysis to identify risks.
• Develop risk models and advise PMs of obstacles affecting client expectations.
• Monitor covenant completion and identify actions for non-compliance or delays.
• Review covenant compliance certificates to understand performance and remediation actions.
• Update financial covenants and calculations as needed.
• Run Probability of Default (PD) models with oversight.
• Prepare ALSR reports with oversight and support Portfolio Reviews for client meetings.
• May assist with training of new employees and participate in special projects.
