Responsibilities

1. Analyze financial statements, industry outlook, and credit data for businesses according to merchant services credit underwriting standards.
2. Conduct periodic portfolio assessments to ensure high-risk approved accounts remain creditworthy.
3. Underwrite new accounts following established policies.
4. Update and enhance credit policies to balance risk protection and sales initiatives.
5. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on credit and credit policy to support sales inquiries.
6. Monitor daily transaction activity to identify risk trends and fraud schemes.
7. Process transaction exceptions identified by banks to validate qualifications.
8. Investigate transactions and batches to assess risk of loss and take appropriate actions.
9. Understand NACHA guidelines and ACH processing related to collections of delinquent accounts.
10. Assess business model risks across eCommerce and retail sectors.
11. Understand merchant processing contracts and their role in risk mitigation.
12. Attend industry meetings to stay updated on regulatory changes.

Salary Range

Minimum: $40,000 USD; Maximum: $100,000 USD. Actual compensation varies based on experience and market factors.
