About This Role
Senior Creative Strategists develop original media strategies, brand narratives, and strategic platforms, creating thoughtful proposals for partners across industries and regions including New York, DC, Africa, and the Gulf. You will understand client priorities and operationalize processes to produce compelling presentations. Reporting to the Senior Creative Director, you will collaborate with creative, sales, revenue, and marketing teams.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Be a subject matter expert on Semafor’s brand and products, and build on its story for clients.
  2. Engage deeply with clients’ brand challenges, priorities, and objectives.
  3. Use research and data to support strategies and creative ideas.
  4. Create strategic, engaging proposals in visual formats that align with advertiser objectives and KPIs.
  5. Lead processes and coordinate with sales and post-sale teams for smooth transitions.
  6. Connect client challenges with proposed solutions convincingly.
  7. Leverage knowledge of media landscape, including emerging platforms and off-platform opportunities, to enhance proposals.
  8. Lead brainstorming sessions with internal teams, clients, and agencies to clarify needs and craft winning proposals.
  9. Collaborate with leadership on high-profile pitches and presentations.

What Makes You Qualified

  1. Bachelor's degree plus 4-6 years in marketing and sales.
  2. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  3. Strong project management and organizational skills.
  4. Experience developing brand, creative, or marketing strategies.
  5. Proven ability to generate revenue through marketing strategies.
  6. Curiosity, ingenuity, and originality in approaching revenue opportunities.
  7. Deep ownership of work.
  8. This is an in-person role in New York, with 4 days/week in the office and some travel.
  9. Intermediate to advanced skills in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, especially Google Slides and PowerPoint.

Additional Details

This position is based in New York, NY. Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours and travel as needed. Benefits include unlimited PTO, health coverage, 401(k), and more. Salary range: $115K-$135K, based on experience.
