WORK TYPE: Onsite

LOCATION: Farmers Branch Headquarters, 4 days onsite, Friday is a flex day

WORK HOURS: Full time, Exempt

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: 10%

Role Overview: The Design Manager should have a strong background in apparel and sublimated design decoration. Responsibilities include trend forecasting, conceptualizing and creating designs, overseeing design processes, and collaborating with the Innovation team to ensure final files meet specifications. The ideal candidate has an innovative portfolio, a keen eye for color and detail, and is sport-minded.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and develop designs for our Private Label Sublimation category based on current trends and market research.
• Present design ideas to team members and stakeholders.
• Adjust designs based on feedback from cross-functional teams and market research.
• Stay knowledgeable of current and emerging sports design trends.
• Collaborate with the Innovation Team to ensure design accuracy.
• Produce designs by hand or using CAD software.
• Develop concepts for collections by sport.
• Execute design briefs from Merchandising.
• Create graphics for internal use as needed.
• Build strong relationships with team members.
• Attend design and development meetings.
• Assist with file reproduction when necessary.
• Handle other creative projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Positive attitude and relationship-building skills.
• Strong portfolio of innovative designs.
• Knowledge of textiles, fabrics, and fashion trends.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours when required.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years in Design and Development; degree in Design or Apparel Merchandising is a plus.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; experience with CAD programs and textiles required.

Physical Requirements: This role is largely sedentary, requiring sitting or standing for long periods, with some filing and lifting files as necessary.
