Job summary

OakNorth Bank in New York, NY is seeking a seasoned commercial lending professional to originate, structure, and execute CRE and mid-market transactions. You will manage the full lifecycle from origination to closing, supported by credit, legal, and analytics teams.

The role demands strong financial modelling, deep credit underwriting, and the ability to lead multiple deals with minimal supervision, while building relationships with borrowers and sponsors in a dynamic market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance or related field with 5 years CRE lending experience.
• Experience leading and independently executing lending transactions.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent lending transactions in a high-volume environment.
• Financial modelling and credit analysis for debt transactions.

Responsibilities

• Originate, structure, and execute commercial lending transactions, with a primary focus on CRE and mid-market borrowers.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis and credit underwriting, including evaluation of borrower financials, cash flow projections, and collateral performance.
• Structure loan facilities, including pricing, covenants, security packages, and repayment terms.
• Prepare and present credit memoranda to internal committees to support approvals.
• Manage end-to-end transaction lifecycle from origination to ongoing portfolio monitoring.
• Develop and maintain relationships with borrowers, sponsors, developers, and financial intermediaries.
