Job summary

Jobot is seeking a senior associate or counsel to join its expanding Real Estate practice in Boston. This newly created role offers direct client exposure and meaningful responsibility from day one.

You will draft and negotiate commercial leases, handle acquisitions, dispositions, development, and financing of commercial properties, and advise franchisee clients. 5–10 years CRE experience and MA/NY/CT bar admission preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of commercial real estate experience at a law firm with a strong focus on commercial leasing.
• Substantial experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases.
• Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, development, and financing of commercial properties.
• Franchisee-side experience, including review, renewals, and transfers is highly preferred.
• Excellent academic credentials and strong written and verbal communication.
• Self-motivated and able to manage matters with minimal supervision.
• MA, NY, or CT bar admission (or waiver eligibility).

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate commercial leases for landlords and tenants across a range of property types
• Represent companies, developers, franchisees, investors, and other entities in sophisticated real estate matters
• Handle acquisitions, dispositions, development, and financing of commercial properties
• Advise franchisee clients on franchise and distribution agreements, renewals, and transfers
• Support asset acquisitions and general corporate real estate matters
