Intel's All Cores Engineering (ACE) team is seeking a Senior CPU Design Verification Engineer to ensure architectural correctness and power-efficient performance for Atom CPU designs before silicon. You will lead pre-silicon verification, develop and execute SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches, debug RTL/microarchitecture issues, and collaborate with CPU architects, RTL designers,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience or Master’s with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Design Verification methodologies using SystemVerilog, UVM, and industry-standard EDA tools.
• Pre-silicon verification of CPU, SoC, or complex IP designs.
• Preferred qualifications include debugging skills with SystemVerilog, C/C++, Linux-based simulation environments; Python or Perl scripting; RTL exposure; CPU microarchitecture understanding; system boot flows and low-power features.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-silicon functional verification of complex CPU and SoC logic to ensure architectural and microarchitectural compliance.
• Develop and execute verification plans, testbenches, and SystemVerilog/UVM environments with coverage closure.
• Define, run, and analyze system-level simulations to uncover functional, performance, power, and corner-case issues.
• Debug and root-cause RTL, microarchitecture, and integration issues; collaborate with design teams to drive resolution.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with CPU architects, RTL designers, power/performance teams, and physical design engineers to improve verification quality.
• Maintain, enhance, and scale verification infrastructure, methodologies, and automation.
• Document verification strategies, results, and findings; lead technical discussions and design reviews.
