Job summary

Intel is seeking a CPU Design Verification Engineer for the ATOM team to verify power-efficient processors across ultra-mobile to edge solutions. You will lead verification efforts, develop scalable testbenches, and drive coverage closure with cross-functional teams.

Role emphasizes SysVerilog hardware modeling, Python/C++ scripting, and collaboration with architects and RTL teams to meet performance and power targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM with 1+ years of experience (or Master’s/PhD in same field).
• Proficiency in hardware modeling languages Verilog/VHDL/SystemVerilog and industry-standard simulation tools.
• Experience developing UVM-based testbenches for scalable verification environments.
• Programming skills in Python, Perl, or C++.
• Solid computer architecture fundamentals with CPU microarchitecture focus.
• Experience in debugging/validation, functional coverage analysis, test development, and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive CPU verification plans to validate CPU logic against specs.
• Create scalable UVM-based testbenches and coverage models.
• Perform functional coverage analysis and close gaps with strategic plans.
• Execute system-level simulations to verify functionality, power, and timing.
• Develop automation scripts to optimize verification workflows.
• Collaborate with CPU architects, RTL designers, and physical design teams.
