Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a CPU Synthesis CAD engineer to design, implement, and optimize the synthesis and implementation flows that power our next‑generation CPUs.

You will collaborate with global CPU physical design teams to ensure industry-leading power, performance, and area, while driving tool methodology improvements. The role emphasizes developing features, automating flows with Tcl and Python, and working with EDA vendors to define roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 6+ years of hardware/software experience.
• Strong knowledge of synthesis flows, place-and-route, and front-end tasks such as LEC and UPF.
• Experience with 5nm or smaller process nodes and modern EDA tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and release new features in high-performance synthesis CAD flow.
• Architect improvements to achieve best-in-class power, performance, and area.
• Maintain, support, and debug synthesis & implementation flows and resolve issues.
