Job summary

Intel Corporation in Hillsboro, Oregon, seeks a Senior CPU Silicon Analysis Engineer to own silicon bring-up, measurement campaigns, and data analysis driving CPU roadmap decisions. You will work across architecture, benchmarking, and backend teams to correlate lab results with pre-silicon models and influence architectural direction.

The role requires 8+ years (or 6+ with a MS) of relevant experience, hands-on silicon lab work, and strong scripting skills for automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related with 8+ years experience OR Master's in related discipline with 6+ years experience
• Hands-on silicon lab experience including bring-up, debug, instrumentation
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar) for test automation and data analysis
• Strong analytical skills with ability to derive actionable insights from multi-dimensional silicon datasets

Responsibilities

• Own and operate lab infrastructure for silicon characterization, including bring-up, maintenance, and debug of pre-production and production platforms
• Plan and execute measurements across metrics such as performance, IPC, power, dynamic capacitance, leakage, voltage-frequency curves, and microarchitectural telemetry
• Design and execute measurement campaigns to characterize silicon under various operating conditions, workloads, and thermal/power envelopes
• Analyze silicon data to identify power/performance gaps, anomalies and opportunities relative to architectural targets
• Collaborate with architecture, benchmarking, backend design, and simulation teams to correlate lab results with pre-silicon models and drive root-cause analysis
• Develop tooling and automation to streamline data collection, processing, and reporting pipelines
• Communicate findings through technical reports and presentations to engineering leadership
