Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking an experienced Silicon Lab Engineer to lead CPU silicon activities in a lab, manage equipment, and conduct power and performance analyses. The role focuses on test chip validation, data-driven profiling, and developing test patterns for validation and characterization.

Candidates should have a strong EE/CE/CS foundation, hands-on experience with lab equipment, and proficiency in Python-based automation and data analysis. Prior Android/iOS exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in an electrical silicon laboratory using oscilloscopes, JTAG, and power analyzers.
• Experience with Python-based automation and scripting, including data analysis.
• Experience working with Android and iOS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own CPU silicon activities within a lab, including daily lab management, equipment oversight, and upgrades.
• Perform test chip validation and silicon power measurements with in-depth performance and power analysis.
• Develop test patterns for power analysis, yield analysis, functionality testing, and speed testing.
• Develop data science-based methods to profile workloads for performance and power analysis and optimization.
• Perform device teardown activities, soldering, oscilloscope-based testing, wiring, BGA extraction, and rework.
