Johnston County Department of Social Services is seeking a Family-Centered CPS Supervisor to oversee an Investigator unit and ensure safe outcomes for children under 18. The role involves supervising staff, reviewing reports, training, and ensuring adherence to policies and timelines.

The position requires a Master’s in social work (or related field) and relevant experience; preference for prior Child Welfare experience and local NC knowledge.

Competenze

• Knowledge of methods and principles of casework supervision, training, and services.
• Strong understanding of social work laws, regulations, and policies.
• Ability to supervise, train, and orient staff, students, or interns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to plan and execute work.

Mansioni

• Supervise CPS Investigator unit and staff.
• Assign CPS reports daily and monitor compliance with timelines.
• Provide on-the-job training and arrange formal training as needed.
• Attend court as part of mandatory DSS duties and contribute to case decisions.
