Job summary

Aegis Companies is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling support for a data center practice. You will develop, manage, and monitor CPM schedules across a project’s life cycle on a dynamic team with client project managers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include schedule development, progress updates, critical path analyses, and monthly project reporting. Requires on-site, full-time work and a background in construction CPM scheduling.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction industry.
• Two or more years of experience in project controls for data centers.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction, project management, or a related field (waived with five+ years direct vertical construction experience).
• Ability to accurately interpret construction documents.
• Knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequences.
• Cost and resource management and reporting.
• Familiarity with contractual clauses as they apply to planning and scheduling.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• AACEI PSP or PMI-SP certification(s) preferred.
• This role requires being full-time on-site.

Responsibilities

• Development, maintenance, and monitoring of construction CPM Schedules.
• Review project documents and specifications to develop baseline schedules that accurately include all required dates, activities, and milestones.
• Perform progress schedule updates with comprehensive reporting and narratives.
• Review project schedules and provide recommendations based on execution goals.
• Perform critical path analyses, identify schedule-related problems, and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct site walks for progress validation and prepare monthly reporting packages for the project site team.
• Review the contractor’s progress and present it to management for decision-making.
• Develop metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the program.
• Cost and resource management and reporting.
• Identification and evaluation of risk and impacts within project schedules.
• Communicate project status and challenges effectively.
• Meet with project teams, clients, owners, and various stakeholders.
