Job summary

UWorld, LLC is seeking a CPA / Senior Staff Accountant to join the Finance and Accounting Team. The role focuses on applying GAAP, performing month-end close, and collaborating across internal and external partners.

The candidate will manage GL/AP/AR/FA/PR/CASH, prepare journal entries, conduct reconciliations, and assist in budget and external audit processes. A CPA, master’s degree, and 3+ years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Accounting/Finance/Business.
• Active CPA license required.
• 3+ years experience as a Senior Staff Accountant or equivalent.
• 2+ years public accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses UWorld accounting systems for daily accounting responsibilities - GL/AP/AR/FA/PR/CASH.
• Support month end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Researches, investigates, and reports issues related to general ledger transactions.
• Assist in review of income statement and balance sheet accounts for variance analysis.
• Prepares roll forward schedules (fixed assets, equity, prepaids, deferred revenue).
• Assist in streamlining processes and improve deliverables.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings.
• Support annual budget process and external audit prep (PBC requests).
• Run ad hoc reports and account analysis as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
