Job summary

Hall County Government is seeking a County Administrator to serve as the chief executive officer, reporting to the five-member Board of Commissioners in Gainesville, GA. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or related field.
• Seven years of progressively responsible management experience, preferably in local government and private industry.
• Knowledge of public financial administration and procurement; capital projects and intergovernmental agreements.

Responsibilities

• Develop long-range goals and plans for the County and prepare annual work plans.
• Direct and supervise Administrative staff and Department Directors; conduct evaluations, hiring, promotions.
• Lead inter-departmental coordination and support the County Commission’s agenda and decision-making.
• Oversee budget preparation and the budget adoption process; prepare resolutions and ordinances.
• Maintain public relations and respond to inquiries from citizens and media; advocate for transparency.
