Job summary

Parallax Advanced Research in Beavercreek, OH seeks a Senior Counterintelligence & Threat Protection specialist to lead CI, insider threat, and technology protection efforts across the organization and regional operations.

The role serves as the headquarters-based counterintelligence resource and ITPSO, overseeing the Insider Threat Program, coordinating with DoD partners, and developing risk-based mitigation strategies for sensitive technologies and programs.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• 7–10+ years of counterintelligence, investigative, intelligence, or national security experience.
• Experience leading an Insider Threat Program within a DoD, federal, or cleared contractor environment.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities, regional requirements, and sensitive matters.
• Strong analytical judgment and ability to communicate complex findings to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess counterintelligence, insider threat, and technology protection risks affecting company operations, personnel, facilities, programs, and technologies.
• Analyze potential foreign intelligence, technology transfer, insider, supply-chain, and third-party/partner threats and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Provide counterintelligence and technology protection support to company operations across multiple geographic regions.
• Conduct and support inquiries, analysis, fact-finding, and threat assessments involving potential counterintelligence or insider threat concerns.
• Develop actionable recommendations for company leadership based on identified threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging risks.
• Support the protection of sensitive and emerging technologies, critical program information, intellectual property, and DoD-related capabilities throughout development and deployment.
• Coordinate with internal security, program, technical, legal, and executive stakeholders when evaluating potential threats or incidents.
• Maintain awareness of evolving foreign intelligence threats and risks affecting the Defense Industrial Base.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Counterintelligence, Intelligence Studies, National Security, Criminal Justice, Security Studies, or a related discipline
