Job summary

UNM Hospital in Albuquerque seeks a licensed professional to provide and supervise psychosocial evaluation, therapy, crisis intervention, and case management in a high-intensity clinical environment.

You will lead and train counselors and social work students, ensure adherence to policies, and work with diverse age groups from neonate to geriatric; requires Master’s degree and NM LPCC/CMHC/LCSW/LMFT, with 3 years experience; bilingual preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• At least 3 years of directly related experience.
• Bilingual abilities preferred (English and additional languages such as Spanish, Keres, Tewa).

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling, therapy, and psychotherapy to clients and families as appropriate.
• Prepare treatment plans, discharge plans, and follow up care programs.
• Consult with other therapists and staff; refer clients to appropriate services as required.
• Provide crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
• Prepare documentation for civil commitment hearings or other legal proceedings.
• Provide clinical supervision to lower-level therapists and interns.
