Job summary

UNM Hospital in Albuquerque is seeking a licensed professional to provide and supervise psychosocial evaluation, counseling, and crisis intervention across age groups in a high-intensity clinical setting.

You will train staff, ensure policy adherence, and oversee treatment plans, discharge planning, and follow-up care, collaborating with therapists and social workers to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related discipline.
• Essential: 3 years directly related experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (additional languages noted as nonessential).

Responsibilities

• Provide, oversee, and/or administer psychosocial evaluation/assessment, diagnostic, counseling therapy, crisis intervention, and case management services.
• Lead and train lower level counselors/social workers, students, and/or interns.
• Ensure adherence to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
• Prepare treatment and discharge plans and follow-up care programs.
• Provide clinical supervision to lower level therapists and graduate students.
• Respond to emergencies and provide therapeutic interventions as needed.
• Document and report on treatment outcomes and program administration.
• Promote best practices in treatment and meet department productivity expectations.
• Consult with other therapists and agencies and refer clients to appropriate services.
