Job summary

Anchorage Digital is seeking a Senior Counsel, Trading to join its legal team. This role provides strategic legal advice to bring new products and features to the institutional crypto market, structures, drafts, and negotiates counterparty agreements (including prime brokerage, electronic trading, derivatives, and financing arrangements), and manages regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Active membership in the NY state bar.
• 8+ years of transactional experience reviewing financial transaction agreements, including lending, prime brokerage, ISDA/CSA, and trade confirmations.
• Experience in fast-paced startup or early-stage company environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal expertise on market infrastructure, including crypto trading venues, prime brokers, custodians, and payment rails.
• Structure, draft, and negotiate counterparty agreements, electronic trading agreements, derivatives, and financing arrangements.
• Develop and manage contract templates, and partner with Compliance to develop guidelines, policies, and staff training.
• Advise executive leadership on reputational, regulatory, and ongoing compliance issues.
