Job summary

CHEP, a global leader in sustainable supply-chain solutions, seeks a Senior Legal Counsel for Supply Chain, Procurement & Operations across North America. This remote role partners with procurement, operations and real estate teams to manage risks, contracts and vendor relations.

The position emphasizes pragmatic, business-focused advice, due diligence on major transactions, and proactive process improvements. Remote US-based with preference for Eastern/Central regions.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active bar membership in at least one U.S. or Canada jurisdiction.
• In-house and law firm experience in procurement, logistics, real estate and/or supply-chain.
• Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and issue-spotting abilities in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel to Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Real Estate, and other operational teams across North America.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on procurement agreements, master services, transportation, warehousing and related documents.
• Support vendor disputes, escalations, and pre-litigation issues in a supply-chain context.
• Lead or support major strategic transactions including M&A with risk identification and due diligence.
• Develop and maintain templates, playbooks, and approval structures to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Escalate significant risk matters to General Counsel and coordinate with external counsel when needed.
