Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a senior legal advisor within the Security and Trust Organization to guide governance, compliance and operations related to cybersecurity across products and services.

You will partner with internal teams, outside counsel, and customers to develop policies, standards and processes that support trust in Cisco’s AI deployments while navigating evolving regulatory landscapes. Hybrid work model in select locations.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent with active bar admission and 7+ years' experience.
• Mastery of security and resilience laws.
• Experience providing legal counsel on security governance, operations, compliance and trust.
• Understanding of information security requirements and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on cybersecurity governance and compliance.
• Coordinate with other legal team, outside counsel, and stakeholders in the cybersecurity area.
• Advise on risks around trust, product testing, customer trust, RFPs.
• Advise on governance, including policies and controls.
• Review and negotiate security contracts.
• Support development and improvement of security governance policies.
