OpenTable is looking for a highly motivated, practical, and business-oriented Senior Counsel, Privacy & Product to join our Legal teamThis role is ideal for a lawyer who enjoys working closely with commercial, product and technical teams, navigating emerging areas of law, and developing practical solutions that enable responsible innovation at scaleJ.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and active membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar, or equivalent legal qualification and authorization to practice law in the United KingdomExperience supporting or helping lead a global privacy program, including privacy governance, policies, compliance frameworks, and cross-functional implementationDeep knowledge of U.S. and global privacy and data protection laws, including GDPR and U.S. state privacy laws, as well as global consumer protection laws, with demonstrated experience translating complex legal and regulatory requirements into practical product and business guidance8+ years of relevant legal experience, including significant experience advising on privacy, data protection, technology, and product matters, preferably in-house at a technology, consumer, marketplace, or other high-growth companySignificant experience providing product counseling, including partnering directly with Product and Engineering teams on new products, features, data uses, and technology initiatives from development through launchExperience advising on information security and cybersecurity matters, including security requirements, incident response, and related regulatory obligationsStrong judgment, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, with demonstrated ability to assess risk, navigate ambiguity, and provide practical advice to cross-functional teams and senior leadersCIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, AIGP, or similar privacy or AI certification preferredExperience working within a complex global organization or corporate group and partnering effectively with enterprise-level legal, privacy, security, compliance, or governance functionsExperience advising on artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, including legal and regulatory considerations associated with developing, deploying, or procuring AI-enabled products and services
