Job summary

OpenTable is seeking a Senior Counsel, Privacy & Product to join our Legal team and collaborate with Product, Engineering, Security, Commercial, Partnerships, and Marketing to drive responsible innovation.

This role requires strong privacy expertise, product counseling experience, and leadership in global privacy programs to align with regulatory developments and consumer protection standards.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and bar admission in at least one U.S. state
• 8+ years of legal experience in privacy, data protection, and product matters
• Deep knowledge of U.S. and global privacy laws (GDPR, U.S. state privacy laws)

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and practical counsel to Product, Engineering, Security, Commercial, Partnerships, and Marketing teams
• Lead as Deputy Privacy Officer and liaise with Booking Holdings on privacy matters
• Counsel on AI governance, data collection, consent, personalization, and consumer rights
• Partner with Information Security on cybersecurity and data security obligations
• Draft terms and negotiate agreements to enable responsible innovation
