Job summary

Alliance Defending Freedom in Lansdowne, VA seeks a Senior Counsel to lead federal and state policy initiatives for the Counter Censorship Task Force. You will conduct complex legal research, draft legislative and regulatory solutions, and coordinate cross-team advocacy to advance the organization’s mission.

You will provide strategic legal advice to CEOs and GCs, draft amicus briefs, model legislation, and testify on policy matters while building coalitions with legal, policy, and business

Qualifications

• J.D., active license in at least one US state bar, capable of meeting admission requirements within one year.
• 10+ years of legal experience

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of federal and state policy and regulatory initiatives for the Counter Censorship Task Force.
• Conduct complex legal research and translate findings into legislative and regulatory solutions.
• Draft amicus briefs, comment letters, and other formal submissions.
• Provide legal advice to CEOs, GCs, and other business leaders on policy matters.
• Draft model legislation, prepare expert testimony, and testify on relevant legislation.
• Produce memos, articles, and white papers for the Task Force.
• Build coalitions with key legal, policy, and business leaders to advance goals.
• Represent the Task Force at meetings, events, and conferences.
