Job summary

Voya Investment Management is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Legal Department, supporting institutional asset management across private and public markets. You will partner with PMs, product and client onboarding teams, and business leaders on legal strategies and regulatory matters.

The role requires 6–12 years of relevant experience, JD, and strong drafting and negotiation skills, with a focus on insurance asset management and complex investment transactions.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
• Approximately 6–12 years of relevant legal experience at a leading law firm or in-house.
• Substantial experience with institutional asset management and insurance asset management.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills with ability to manage multiple matters.

Responsibilities

• Support investment advisory activities across multiple platforms for institutional clients.
• Draft, review, and negotiate investment management and client documents.
• Coordinate with outside counsel on transactional and regulatory matters.
• Support regulatory and compliance matters including Advisers Act, FINRA, and ERISA.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and business teams on cross-functional initiatives.
