Job summary

AMD seeks an experienced in-house attorney to support the Graphics & Engineering business unit. You will advise on inbound/outbound software licenses, technology agreements, and IP matters, while guiding product development and risk management across hardware and software products.

Qualifications

J.D. degree and admission to practice law in a U.S. state.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate inbound/outbound software licenses, technology, and IP agreements.
Counsel engineering clients on contract terms, software, compliance, AI solutions, and dispute resolution.
Advise on open-source software use, including compliance with policies and code scanning.
Provide guidance on product development and legal risk management.
Partner with internal stakeholders to negotiate and coordinate key transactions.
Develop and deliver internal training on legal, software, and compliance matters.
Monitor emerging legal and regulatory issues affecting datacenter, AI, semiconductor, hardware, and software products, and translate those developments into practical guidance for the business.
