Walmart is seeking a Senior Counsel to lead strategic legal guidance on global privacy, data protection, and technology matters. You will influence enterprise privacy strategy and advise senior leadership across global platforms.

The role requires JD, bar admission, and 5+ years of legal experience with strong privacy expertise. In-house leadership and cross-functional collaboration are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice in at least one state.
• Minimum of 5 years of legal experience with significant global privacy knowledge.
• Experience advising enterprise compliance programs and data protection strategies.

Responsibilities

• Advise on global privacy laws, regulatory developments, and sector-specific requirements.
• Partner with compliance to develop and maintain privacy assessments and programs.
• Lead risk identification and mitigation for privacy in operations, product, marketing, and tech.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide scalable legal guidance.
• Support responses to regulatory inquiries and enforcement actions.
• Mentor junior attorneys and legal staff across privacy initiatives.
• Align with Government Affairs to shape enterprise positions on privacy laws.
