Etsy, Inc. in Brooklyn or Dublin seeks a Senior Counsel, Payments & Product to guide global payments strategy, operations, and regulatory compliance. This is a high-impact role for someone with fintech experience who can translate complex rules into practical product guidance.

You will counsel business, product, marketing, operations, compliance and engineering teams on payment laws as Etsy expands internationally, develop policy, and supervise external counsel across markets.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience at both a law firm and/or in-house.
• JD (or local equivalent) and admitted to a state bar (preferably NY or CA).
• In-house experience at a FinTech.
• Deep knowledge of global payments regulation and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience advising cross-functional teams on payments-related products and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Counsel on application of payment laws and regulations across jurisdictions.
• Advise on product development, policy, and expansion to international markets.
• Collaborate with business, product, marketing, operations, and engineering teams.
• Provide strategic leadership on payments regulatory risk and compliance.
• Manage external counsel for multi-market launches and regulatory inquiries.
