AbbVie seeks a Senior Counsel, Global Commercial Legal to develop legal strategy for oncology medicines and partner with cross-functional teams to navigate regulatory complexity and drive ethical, effective patient-focused decisions.

The role requires 5+ years of in-house pharma or life sciences experience, JD from an accredited school, and bar admission; it offers a hybrid work model with onsite requirements in Mettawa, IL or Florham Park, NJ.

Formación

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in at least one U.S. state.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant in-house pharma or life sciences experience.
• Experience with biopharma, healthcare, or life sciences preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a key legal advisor to cross-functional teams within AbbVie’s Oncology business unit.
• Provide substantive advice on marketing, regulatory, and compliance issues across departments.
• Support development and implementation of legal policies, compliance programs, and training efforts.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to manage risk, resolve disputes, and influence outcomes.
• Advise on government-related policy initiatives and regulatory shifts.
• Help select and direct work of outside counsel, define project objectives and manage the project.
• This position reports to a Sr. Associate General Counsel, Oncology Lead.
