AbbVie in Irvine, CA seeks a Senior Counsel, Global Alliances Legal to shape and manage strategic collaborations across Aesthetics, Toxins and Eye Care. You will lead cross-functional teams and negotiate complex licenses and co-development agreements to maximize pipeline value.

You will advise senior leadership on alliance matters, perform due diligence, and help structure deals from discovery through commercialization, ensuring regulatory and business objectives are met.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and bar licensure in the practicing state.
• Experience at Am Law 100 or big Pharma preferred.
• 5+ years in life sciences transactions, global collaborations, or R&D advisory.
• Strong ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-lawyers.

Responsabilités

• Align legal strategy with portfolio objectives and lifecycle milestones.
• Advise on alliance, partnership, and collaboration matters across pharma and devices.
• Interpret and negotiate licenses, collaborations, co-development, and co-promotion agreements.
• Draft and review complex R&D and collaboration agreements with partners.
• Collaborate with Transactions Legal to evaluate new Aesthetics, Toxins and Eye Care deals.
• Support due diligence and integration planning for strategic collaborations.
• Provide clear legal guidance to senior management and stakeholders.
