Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC seeks a Corporate Counsel to advise on complex energy and water project transactions as part of the Energy & Water Legal team. You will structure, draft, and negotiate agreements and navigate regulatory requirements to support AWS’s growth and climate commitments.

Lead transactions from concept to close, coordinating with business development, infrastructure, and sustainability teams to deliver compliant, innovative deal structures for renewable procurement.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and bar admission in at least one state
• 5+ years of post-bar legal experience
• 5+ years of transactional experience in energy, infrastructure, construction, or project financing

Responsibilities

• Structure, draft, and negotiate energy project agreements including PPAs and interconnection arrangements
• Provide legal counsel on deal structures, grid interconnection processes, and regulatory requirements in energy sector
• Lead transactions from concept through closing with multiple workstreams and stakeholders
• Advise on transaction structures, risk allocation, and compliance with energy regulations for renewable procurement
• Collaborate with business development, infrastructure, and sustainability teams to find practical legal solutions
