Job Summary

The Senior Commercial Counsel for Digital Technology/Information Technology (DT/IT) procurement provides legal advice and support to GE Aerospace's business leaders. This remote US role involves collaborating with the Legal and Compliance team, which serves as internal subject matter experts on legal matters, particularly focusing on DT/IT procurement agreements.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer legal advice related to digital technology agreements, including structuring, interpreting, and negotiating deals, supporting US government and commercial purchases, and addressing disputes.
• Assist legal and non-legal colleagues with legal and business issues.
• Oversee audits, address emerging risks, and implement risk management strategies.
• Develop solutions for unassigned legal issues and growth initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal legal specialists and external counsel as needed.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the State Bar.
• At least 7 years of legal experience, with a focus on technology.
• Experience negotiating technology procurement agreements, including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and hardware agreements.
• Knowledge of data privacy laws, cybersecurity standards, and intellectual property considerations.
• Ability to interpret and negotiate complex deals and advise on legal risks.
