U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Operations, Technology and Regulatory Team, supporting digital assets, blockchain, and next‑generation payments. The role involves providing legal, product, and regulatory guidance across the asset lifecycle and collaborating with business lines, risk, and technology teams.

Qualified candidates will have a J.D. and active bar membership, 7+ years in financial services or regulatory counseling, and familiarity with fintech or payments.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active bar membership in good standing.
• 7+ years of legal experience, preferably in financial services, fintech, payments, or regulatory counseling.
• Experience in a law firm or in-house legal department with digital assets or payments focus.
• Background in payments, money movement, technology, trust and custody or with digital currency related legal issues.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and advise on the GENIUS Act and implementing regulations relevant to digital assets, blockchain, and money movement.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess impact on enterprise strategy and product design.
• Provide legal support across the digital asset product lifecycle, including structuring and risk assessment.
• Partner with business, risk, and technology teams to mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
• Assist with risk management strategies for emerging business models and regulatory compliance.
