U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced attorney to join the Law Division's Operations, Technology and Regulatory Team, supporting digital assets, money movement, and related enterprise initiatives in Los Angeles.

The role provides legal, product, and regulatory guidance throughout the product lifecycle and requires collaboration with business lines, risk, compliance, and technology teams. The ideal candidate has a J.D.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree with active bar membership.
• 7+ years of legal experience, preferably in financial services, fintech, payments, or regulatory counseling.
• Experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Background in payments, money movement, technology, trust and custody or with digital currency related legal issues.
• Familiarity with banking and payments regulation, securities and commodities considerations, and BSA/AML requirements.
• Exposure to blockchain or distributed ledger technology and related business models.
• Experience working cross-functionally with business, risk, compliance, and technology teams.
• Collaborative, curious, and creative thinker with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and advise on the GENIUS Act and related regulations for digital assets, blockchain, and money movement.
