Latitude is seeking an attorney with data, financial services or other sophisticated commercial contracting experience to join its growing in-house team in Midtown Manhattan. Depending on experience this may be counsel or senior counsel, focusing on data licensing, technology and software licensing, and strategic agreements.

Qualifications

• J.D. with active admission to the New York Bar and 3+ years of relevant legal experience.
• Expertise in commercial licensing, contract drafting and negotiation, and legal advisory work in financial services, financial data, or fintech.
• Hands-on market data, global exchanges and financial services knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate data licenses, market data and financial product licenses.
• Advise on complex commercial transactions across the business.
• Shape how the legal team adopts AI—from contract review to templates.
• Provide timely, business-oriented legal advice to internal stakeholders across sales, product, finance and data governance functions.
• Identify legal and regulatory risk within proposed business strategies and offer practical solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive legal department culture.
