Job summary

Openkrill is seeking a Senior Counsel - Data Center & Infrastructure to support the Global Data Centers team on acquisitions, development projects, and other infrastructure transactions. You will manage deals through lifecycle, negotiate significant agreements, and guide legal issues as data centers move into operation.

The role offers hands-on experience in a fast-evolving field, spanning real estate, construction, supply chain and compute infrastructure to support the company’s expansion.

Qualifications

• At least six years of direct legal experience with data center providers, neo-clouds or hyperscalers on infrastructure transactions.
• Fluency in compute infrastructure terms, data center operations, long-lead equipment, supply chain, and power/utilities.
• Experience negotiating real estate or physical infrastructure agreements (colocation, leases, capacity arrangements).
• Experience with transaction diligence, regulatory issues and disputes in data center/infrastructure projects.
• Willingness to learn adjacent practice areas and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Execute data center acquisitions and other digital infrastructure transactions from diligence to closing.
• Negotiate colocation, powered-shell, build-to-suit leases, capacity reservations and connectivity agreements.
• Advise on post-acquisition matters including construction, design, long-lead equipment and supply chain contracts.
• Address regulatory questions and disputes; collaborate across teams to manage interdependencies and risk.
