Job summary

MaziCTools seeks a Senior Counsel with deep knowledge of content and creator spaces to support licensing, acquisition, and distribution of video and audio content. You will structure and negotiate agreements and provide strategic legal guidance to executives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in top entertainment law firms or in-house at a major studio or network, with strong copyright expertise and external-facing negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from ABA accredited law school and bar eligibility in the U.S.
• 10+ years of experience in entertainment law or in-house roles at major studios/networks.
• Expertise in copyright law and digital distribution licensing.
• Strong analytical and written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate, draft and advise on content licensing, acquisition, and distribution agreements.
• Provide guidance to senior executives to shape strategies and outcomes.
• Deliver day-to-day legal support for partnerships and production teams including risk assessments and clearances.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, advertising and product teams.
